Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing the quality control operations of the company.
  • Ensuring that all products manufactured comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control policies and procedures.
  • Conducting internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality control standards.
  • Overseeing the testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the quality control team.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as research and development, production, and regulatory affairs, to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Investigating and resolving quality control issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintaining records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Keeping abreast of current industry trends and regulatory developments and implementing changes as necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • EduA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or biology. A master’s degree or higher in a related field may be preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in quality control in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality control methodologies, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team, establish and maintain policies and procedures, and effectively communicate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to review and interpret technical data.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to investigate and resolve quality control issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in the industry and regulatory environment.
  • Ethical Conduct: Strong ethical conduct and commitment to quality and patient safety.
  • Must be approved in the chemical, instrument & microbiology sections.
