Job Description

  • To ensure and maintain the work discipline on the shop floor.
  • Planning and execution of monthly Packing plan and other packing-related activities
  • Responsible for visual inspection, Packing, and labeling-related tasks including shop floor planning, process control & troubleshooting for achieving the planned periodic packing schedules.
  • To ensure effective compliance of Quality management system as per cGMP and international regulatory requirement in production and ancillary areas.
  • Responsible for implementing packing systems, processes, and procedures to facilitate the smooth functioning of overall packing operations.
  • To ensure that the products are packed as per respective country specifications.
  • To ensure scheduled validation of the equipment, calibration of devices, and maintenance of equipment.
  • To review standard operating procedures, batch packing documents, master documents of production, and compliance to documents.
  • Assuring the packing department is in compliance with cGMP/regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for yield improvement.
  • Proper utilization of man and machine and To ensure compliance for documents as per cGMP requirement.
  • Responsible for implementation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • To review and approve MIS reports and other related documents of the production department as per requirement.
  • To provide initial and continuing training of production/packing persons and to confirm the training matrix, and training reports of new and existing employees.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of preventative & predictive maintenance schedules.
  • To comply and ensure the implementation of safety practices and maintain hygiene in manufacturing and ancillary areas.
  • To cooperate with QA/QC/engineering and Warehouse department for daily operational & validation activity.
  • Machine-related FATs and Qualification.
  • To ensure and assign the job to manpower for completion of the task.
  • Monthly Review meetings.
  • Monitoring visual inspection (automatic and manual), labeling, and packing activity per cGMP.
  • Participate in external vendor audits.
  • Handling Market complaints and ensuring their compliance.
  • Responsible for generating Purchase Order of Raw and Packing Materials
  • Responsible for procuring the Raw and Packing Materials as per Purchase Order.
  • Ensure proper procurement plan execution in coordination with the Sourcing/Purchasing Team.
  • Responsible for Identifying vendors in coordination with Sourcing/ Purchase.
  • Responsible for coordination with external customers/ contract givers/ business partners for vendor identifications and selection for existing Product/New Product Launches.
  • Responsible for Auditing vendors/ suppliers for various raw and packaging components.
  • Providing support for technology transfer and new product launches.
  • Ensure timely delivery of material for the smooth operation of the Plant.
  • Responsible for providing Vendor qualification documentation, Vendor Audits, and New Vendor Introduction.
  • Quality and supply agreements and Technical Agreements with Vendors.
  • Approval of new vendors in consultation with the QA department before commercial supply

Qualification: B.Pharma, MS/M.Sc
