Job Description
Role Summary:
- The Strategic Healthcare Partner (SHP) Lead supervises and leads a team of Healthcare Partners to build short and long-term partnerships with a select portfolio of National Strategic and Key Accounts across verticals (trade channels, corporate hospitals, large private enterprises, etc.) and Categories.
- They will be responsible for leading an Integrated Account Team approach to build value-based partnerships with top accounts.
- The role will own the relationship with the prioritized healthcare institutions/systems to collaborate on initiatives that will help solve challenges on the treatment journey.
- They will be responsible for the overall association with a portfolio of accounts, cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders to build effective long-term enterprise synergies and increase Pfizer’s market share.
- They will also be responsible to build a culture of innovation, strong customer centricity and collaboration with a team of Healthcare Partners who will craft a superior experience for top accounts for the enterprise.
Role & Responsibilities:
Key Account Engagement:
- Leads, coordinates, and manages the long-term, consultative relationship with the institution’s C-Suite to become their trusted business advisor. Extends the relationship beyond procurement and contracting into other lines of business.
- Understands key institutions’ needs, challenges, and priorities and documents the same (Institute on a page)
- Demonstrates expertise in relationship skills, creatively delivers innovation and thought leadership, and represents the full spectrum of Pfizer values.
- Responsible for overall service excellence within the account and is the customer advocate internally at Pfizer.
- Develop and review ROI metrics and principles to ensure commercial feasibility of all engagement plan executions.
- As appropriate, the Strategic HP brings the right SMEs and other Pfizer capabilities in order to address customer needs
Account Management:
- Analyses and understands the local environment, network account business, and aligns Pfizer priorities to create network account plans, and utilizes insights to create and execute value propositions of mutual benefit.
- Maximises opportunity across the Pfizer portfolio, monitors progress with key accounts and evolves network account plans as appropriate
Leadership: - Applies mastery of business acumen, including the understanding of the account business, industry, economic trends, issues, and competition. Shares insights gained with cross-functional colleagues
- Develops and leads the network account plan in collaboration with the cross-functional team
Digital - Leverage on Pfizer Digital solutions in driving initiatives for wider reach of prospects & communication to the existing customers
- Utilize digital tools to be able to have market insights & integrate them in the business strategy
People Management: - Demonstrate & cascade the ‘’Pfizer Values’’ & adopt the ‘’Simplicity in ways of working’’
- Extensive collaboration with Internal & external stakeholders for the execution of the business plan.
- Sets the tone, mindset, and culture for a large team of Healthcare Partners, creating a conducive environment for colleague development and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Tertiary education in Business Management / Marketing or a health science-related discipline
- Strong leadership, Management, and/or marketing experience is strongly recommended
- Completion of the Key Account Management Best Practice Program (preferred)
- Experience in managing multi-dimensional and long-term relationships with hospitals, patients, community, and provider organizations required proactively. Proven track record with high-level influencing capabilities of key stakeholders
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical/marketing/sales management experience with a focus on customer-centric behavior or Key Account Management and demonstrated leadership.
- Advance track record in leading and managing multidisciplinary projects with cross-functional colleagues in a complex matrix structure strategically
- Self-Drive, strong digital acumen and patient journey understanding, ability to work on multiple priorities
