Job Description
Product Manager – Business Unit – GLP 1
The position:
To support the execution of local portfolio marketing strategy with the Sr Marketing Manager and actively launch, campaigns and sales execution as well as follow-up with internal stakeholders, working in order to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
You will be responsible for –
- Brand plan and strategy: Plan and execute brand marketing plan and strategy – long and short team. Conduct competitor and market analysis, analyze affiliate expectations, evaluate market potential, and prepare a medium-term marketing strategy and investment plans. Set targets and allocate approved budget segment-wise, finalize annual brand plans, product mix, and product launch plans, and plan for and jointly lead review meetings, in order to ensure achievement of annual business plans pertaining to therapy areas responsible for. Develop and align with key stakeholders on the strategy for the promotion of the product. Planning and initiating activities like scientific meetings, Doctor programs, and patient education programs.
- Promotional Plans, Investment, Advertising, and Campaigns: Initiate market research/pilot studies and finalize promotion plans and negotiate costs and appoint PR and advertising agencies, identify innovative promotional tools, conceptualize and design mass campaigns, liaise with medical professional bodies, track progress and take corrective measures in order to ensure higher product sales and return on investment for marketing activities.
- Others: Act in line with ethical standards, company procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way of Management which includes Vision, Policies, and Charter which describes our Values, Commitments, and Fundamentals. Ensure and maintain customer focus. Ensure cost control and effectiveness in the corporate communication function.
- Purpose and subject of interaction with internal/external customers and key contacts: Provide the Sales teams with product and marketing updates and campaign tools (details aids, LBLs, etc) to effectively implement the marketing strategy. Support the sales force and ensure they are fully prepared for successful execution. Provide the affiliate management with product and marketing updates. Create a mutually beneficial relationship with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
Qualifications
- Post-Graduation – MBA with specialization in Marketing from Premier B School. Preferably a science graduate.
- 3+ years experience in product marketing.
- Mandatory – Marketing experience in Cardio Vascular products and portfolio
- Self–managed, strong personal drive and the ability to motivate colleagues towards delivering excellent performance and results including continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external at all levels.
