Role Overview

  • The manager of Operations & Tech transfer would be a member of the operations Management Team reporting to the Lead Operations and tech transfer and take responsibility for ensuring that quality standards are met, and projects are delivered as per plan in Galderma India operational processes.
  • The manager of Operations & Tech transfer would take a vital role in ensuring that performance quality and delivery of Galderma India products is continuously improving.

Roles & Responsibilities

Operations:

  • Operations & Procurement Management

Lead contract manufacturing operations as per Galderma policies, quality, and planning activities for South Asia markets like Sri Lanka / Pakistan/ Bangladesh/ Nepal and visit manufacturing units for regular checks. Manage new vendors and negotiate for the best process and price. , work closely with suppliers and stakeholders, and maintain good relations with them.    Design and implement control systems and metrics to ensure efficient, effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of products. Conduct regular meetings with CMOs:

  • Resolving day-to-day issue
  • Discuss quality matters and complaints.
  • Discuss priority supply

Ensure price change (MRP) implementation at CMO. Provide FG sourcing support to the Middle East from the local CMO.

  • Commercial negotiation with CMO

Participate in place of a multi-annual performance improvement plan for the sub-contractors. Identify and seize short- and mid-term cost reduction opportunities in sub-contracting, and purchasing and ensure their implementation. Perform economic evaluations in cooperation with the controller of subcontracted products and products to be transferred out of Galderma production sites. Support the local controller to negotiate with the local CMO & provide adequate technical support. Participate in due diligence of any local opportunity, including manufacturing assessment. Participate in savings pipeline and roadmap for CMos. Take initiatives for the Yield improvement project, which will ultimately be helped in improving the cost negotiation.

  • Strategic &Financial Business Planning

Support on planning, budgeting, and rolling forecast operational financial processes. Work as a planner to achieve No Sales loss due to any supply issue from CMO.

  • Participate in Monthly SNOP and sign-off process as a demand planner
  • Managing hike or drop of any demand (Market dynamic), to avoid any sales loss

Manage troubleshooting actions to develop reactivity & services to the local markets. Follow & communicate the performance of the sub-contractors (dashboard).

  • Audit and Compliance

Maintain and provide data to internal and external auditors and, also handle their queries if any. Support Global team for legal affairs and issues and ensure internal control is following corporate policy.   Maintain confidential data and act as a channel of communication for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and disaster recovery plan. Maintain legal compliance, communicate with the Global team for any support and guide the team for best-suited action.  Record and maintain project priority essential documentation. Control and manage no data privacy issue in the year and work as data privacy champion for Indian Market. Maintain privacy standards as per inter-nation & data breach response plan submission to Global Legal team Responsible for CMO audits (SMETA 4 pillars).

  • Project Management

Lead improvement and change projects initiate and perform product development projects Implement plan on time along with expected yield, manage optimum Product Supply Performance (PSP) report and maintain project tracker. Manage SOPs, Finished Goods (FG) data, NDP, and OTIF data.

Quality:

  • Provide support on quality projects as a global strategy by process improvement & quality risk minimization.
  • Protect patients/customers from Product Quality issues by leveraging eTools & Global systems Implement track-wise reports for affiliates within Global QA timelines by training of local teams, participation & implementation of gINS writing and/or local INS Revision of local SOPs as needed after due approvals.
  • Establish a fit-for-purpose E2E Quality organization for short and long-term needs Identifies common practices and synergies including backup strategies.
  • Oversee complaint management processes & activities Prepare technical quality agreement & get it approved by respective stakeholders.
  • Oversee GXP management and ensure that Galderma products are safe, meet their intended use, and adhere to quality processes during manufacturing, control, storage, and distribution.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to establish rapport and develop relationships with all key stakeholders: suppliers, customers, and colleagues.

 

  • Education: Bachelor or Master in Pharma or Science and MBA in Operations would be an added advantage.
  • Work Experience:

Minimum 5-15 years of industrial experience with relevant 5 years of experience in manufacturing & planning. Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.

  • Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position:

Advanced computer software skills and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of the Indian sub-contractor market and contract manufacturing
