Job Description
Manager- Business Development and Licensing, EM
Opening for Manager-BD, Licensing(EM) at Mumbai location.
This position would support business development & portfolio management, licensing, and M&A projects for the Emerging markets.
Role & responsibilities:
Business Development
- Preparation of product wish list for respective region/country in Emerging Markets
- Therapy analysis and portfolio analysis for identification of new products ideas.
- Identifying new therapy areas / complex generics / FTL opportunity at country level.
- Country market research to identify new business opportunities, new approvals and launches and M&A deal trends .
- Supporting M&A project evaluations via in-depth due diligence and business analysis.
Licensing and Alliance Management:
- Identifying new product ideas for in-licensing from wish-list, partner product lists, US/EU/EM deal extensions and identified portfolio gaps
- Preparation of detailed business case and management approvals
- Negotiating technical and commercial deal terms
- Executing CDAs, terms sheets and definitive agreements with external partners
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Regulatory/IP/Quality/PMO/Legal/Supply Chain) and partner/s to ensure smooth execution and delivery of project milestones post deal signature
- Continuous monitoring and tracking of existing deals for project milestones, business potential, cost overruns and review of business cases in line with business goals
- Work on out-licensing, divestment projects on a case to case basis • General
- Preparation of monthly reports, internal and external deal data base, and annual expense budgets
- Keep abreast with key therapy landscape, regulatory changes and market developments in designated region /country
- Preparation of financial models as and when require Travel Estimate On a case to case basis to assigned countries and partnering event
Educational Qualification:
B. Pharma and MBA (Finance/ Marketing/Pharmaceutical Management)
Experience:
3 – 5 Years of Total Work Experience
Skill (Functional & Behavioral):
Functional : Oral and written English communication, expertise in MS office (Excel /Word/Power point), working knowledge of generic drug development and registration process, regulatory landscape in major countries, financial modelling and business laws
Behavioral: Learning attitude, result orientation, people management
Industry Preference: Pharma
