Job Description
The position:
As Therapy Access Specialist, you will initiate, lead and implement Patient Awareness and Activation initiatives e.g. camps, HCP (Healthcare Professionals)-PwO (People with Obesity) interaction, PSPs (Patient support programs) rollout. You will build relations and partnerships with patients, HCP, and/or nutrition and fitness organizations to establish collaborations, and execute activities for better obesity care in collaboration with Cross-functional teams supporting Obesity Clinic Programmes for select doctors.
In line with the marketing strategy for Obesity and overall Novo Nordisk strategy and ambition, build the strategic and tactical plan for Patient Engagement through e.g. awareness and activation activities, in alignment with local and international strategies for Obesity. Also ensure strong execution and management of strategy, tactics, and project plans within compliance and business ethics framework.
You will also be responsible to-
- Develop, initiate and execute Patient Advocation Projects enabling the growth of upcoming obesity treatments and stay up to date on Patient Engagement initiatives driven by competitors.
- Develop a local network of dieticians, physical trainers, psychologists, HCPs (Healthcare professionals), dieticians, fitness experts, psychologists, influencers, professional organizations, and patient organizations with the aim to increase diagnosis and help drive obesity-related initiatives.
- Develop measurements (KPIs- key performance indicators) for patient activities, HCP engagement, and preferred outcome (what good looks like) to follow the progress and measure success, and report performance on a regular basis according to plan.
- Be the one point of contact for the patient access – ensure timely counseling before therapy initiation, give updates to the HCP regarding patient updates, playing an active role in executing patient programs in alignment with HCP, among others.
- Be the internal expert on obesity patient journeys always seeking to develop and share insights and understanding to improve patients seeking advice from HCP for Obesity management.
Qualifications
- You hold a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Pharma or Life Science.
- You should have 3-5 years of pharma exp.
- Experience from working with Patient Organisations/patient counselor role.
- Prior experience in handling events is an advantage.
