Job Description
Role Summary:
- Post Doctorate Fellow will be technically responsible for working on synthetic organic Chemistry projects involving optimization of small molecules, macromolecules, and APIs to lead synthesis.
- This will require detailed reading of literature, planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of multi-step reactions, presentation of results in group meetings, writing grant proposals, and lab supervision.
Role Responsibilities
- Experience of all techniques associated with modern organic/metal-coordination chemistry, including the synthesis, purification, and characterization of chemical compounds on a small and medium scale
- Experience in the field of metal-based organic reaction optimization
- Designing the chemical experiments independently, interpreting data, and incorporating data into new experimental designs leading to successful experimental outcomes
- Independent, science-based, and innovative thinking, and the ability to mine scientific literature and databases where appropriate
- Functions well within multidisciplinary teams, and possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Must have troubleshooting skills, mentoring nature, and problem-solving.
- Strong history of publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Participating in the elaboration and governance of a research project
- Contributing to the running of the lab by taking part in a lab duties responsibility pool
- Actively participate in scientific interactions with in-house and external collaborators regarding scientific matters
Qualification & Competencies
- M.Sc. Chemistry; Ph.D. (Chemistry)
- Education and technical areas of expertise should include the majority of fields of Chemistry with an analytical background in the analysis of organic compounds.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to understand the importance of effective stakeholder management and communications.
- Possess in-depth technical expertise on products and technologies associated with the manufacturing or labs, and a thorough understanding of product and process and how manufacturing operations can influence product characteristics
