Job Description
Job Title: Business Unit Head – Aesthetics
Location: Mumbai
Job Purpose:
The Business Unit Head of Aesthetics will be a member of the Senior Management Team reporting to the Managing Director and take responsibility for the overall performance of the Aesthetics Business unit of Galderma India. They will develop the strategy and manage the sales and marketing teams for both business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop sales and marketing programs for Aesthetics Business Unit.
- Administrate and ensure assistance to sales staff through the provision of research, creation, and enhancement of sales support and presentation materials and arrange attendance at trade shows and conferences (attending when necessary).
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s sales and marketing programs; recommend, and implement changes and improvements for future programs to expand sales and profitability.
- Explore new ways of promoting existing products and provide input on existing product modifications.
- Oversee product development feasibility projects: assessing the feasibility of proposed new products, researching correct market and competitor information, planning an effective introduction to the market, preparing new product sales and presentation materials, etc.
- Design propose and direct marketing strategy and sales / promotional policy in accordance with corporate strategy and collaborating with different functions.
- Manage a team of 16, ensuring they have the right resources and development to meet or exceed all activity standards.
- Define annual plans and budgets per product – assess the progress of plans, follow up marketing and sales output and implement corrective action if necessary.
- Identify target customers, develop a network of relations with healthcare professionals and identify and maintain strong links with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Define commercial policy for Galderma India.
- Coordinate activities with area marketing, strategic marketing, medical and regulatory departments and advise senior management on the development of new products or strategies

- Professional Expertise: Ability to effectively manage pipeline growth, working with sales and implementation teams through multi-tier sales engagements.
- Strategic management: Act as the center of strategic management – facilitating a common and unifying perspective on the organization’s strategic objectives, opportunities and threats, and business model.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to gain internal support for strategic and tactical initiatives, and the ability to gain group consensus in a team environment.
- Education: Science or Pharmacy graduate and Business School degree in Marketing (Masters in Marketing, Sales, or General Management would be advantageous).
- Significant sales & marketing experience with a managerial background in the consumer market.
