Job Description

General Manager Production – API, Bulk Drugs

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Planned, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure the products should meet predefined quality and yield by closely monitoring the reaction and process parameters.
  • Scale up of new products and improve existing processes and products.
  • Provide guidance to the team on troubleshooting the problems
  • Enforce cGMP in every aspect of manufacturing to ensure compliance and continuous improvements.
  • Have good exposers and knowledge of various manufacturing processes and able to ensure timely accomplishment of delivery targets within the time, cost, cGMP, regulatory, and with safety parameters.
  • Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Identifying loopholes/bottlenecks in processes & taking appropriate steps for eliminating them.
  • Will be able to Introduce the new systems to reduce production expenditure, Energy consumption that resulted in cost reduction in terms of line balancing, debottlenecking, and design modification
  • Cost reduction activities like solvent reduction, solvent recycling, yield improvements, Process time reduction, Improvement in the Process efficiency, etc.
  • Coordination with marketing & the purchasing department. for the dispatch, market requirements, and special requirements from time to time.
  • Capacity Enhancement project, Identifying specific project opportunities, and initiatives, plant-wise, product-wise and technology-wise. Troubleshooting on day to day basis, Process development, and Optimization of Process & Cost reduction activities.
