Group Leader – Formulation R&D | Vikhroli | Cipla

Job Purpose

Manage R&D development-related operations for specific dosage form(s) to ensure on-time, within-budget quality delivery along with a continuous focus on improvements

Accountabilities

• Approve formulations strategy and project plan for specific dosage forms, through a streamlined process to reduce development timelines and facilitate on-time commercial delivery
• Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements for specific dosage forms through all stages of formulation development by implementing regulatory guidelines and adapting to regulatory changes which may happen over the formulation’s development tenure
• Develop innovative platform technology products, delivery devices, and packaging solutions based on inputs from relevant cross-functional teams
• Identify clinical trial labs and drive completion of clinical studies by interacting with clinical labs to achieve a patient-compliant product (accountability applicable only for topicals and consumer health team leaders)
• Drive and resolve issues related to manufacturing, analytical and RA, and APIs for all manufacturing locations to reduce product cost and streamline processes of existing products

Education Qualification

M. Pharm/Ph. D

Relevant Work Experience

8 years of experience formulation development in topical dosage form/ophthalmic/transdermal patches/consumer healthcare including 3- 5 years as Formulation development GL
