Job Description
Key Accounts Manager – Institution Business Unit

The position:
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for –
- Effective implementation of account plans for strategic accounts
- Identify/Map key stakeholders in each account, meet the external stakeholders and detail the company’s products, and implement the company’s Institution marketing campaigns and projects (a B2B approach)
- Displays service mindset, proposes solutions, result orientation, and is responsible for achieving sales targets from the respective accounts- able to network well with hospital staff to aid access to wards, pharmacies, ICU, etc
- In-detail awareness of the accounting ecosystem and know-how with the multiple KOLs, administrators, nurses, educators, purchase officers, etc. Interpret current physician referral patterns, trends, and financial margins, ensuring that sales resources are optimized
- Anchors strong knowledge across the products in Novo Nordisk Portfolio- communicates well with stakeholders to identify gaps in the current treatment regimen, and convince of the benefits of the NN portfolio. Tailor communication and communication solutions based on stakeholder need
- Takes initiative and works in strong collaboration with the Institution team in headquarters (Marketing, Market Access, etc.)
- Complete face-to-face meetings with physicians, and medical staff from referring hospitals to ensure understanding, as well as to close business, ensuring that obstacles are identified and minimized
- Conduct the activities like CME, PEP, and other relevant activities in all the important state hospitals on a regular basis and meet all the important doctors who have attended the meetings. Get the necessary approvals for the planned activities from the superiors
- Meet the Hospital Pharmacies regularly to check stock movement, indents, demand, and purchase
- Ensure a supply of products to the Hospitals and HCPs in time by coordinating with stockists and channel partners. Ensure discount approvals/special rates/product bundling (case by a case basis) are in place to ensure financial integrity
- Map Hospital sales on a monthly basis for the products and coordinate with the SE Team
- Follow the procedures like daily call reporting, monthly reporting, adhering to the tour programs, handbook and updating account plans/ Hospital formats/ and sending all the necessary approval formats in time
- Responsible for completing training on time, and ensuring strong outcomes in the periodic assessments
- Ensure the business is conducted as per the organization’s ambition and in NN Way
- Compliance with Novo Nordisk principles and internal and external rules/legislations as applicable
- As a requirement of the business ethics; to defend company interests and maintain the confidentiality of the company’s business plans, ideas, and strategies against third parties
Qualifications
- You hold a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Pharma / Science / from a reputed institution.
- You should have minimum 6 – 7 years of industry work experience.
- Good at business development at ground levels in Hospitals (CGHS, ESI & Railways)
- You should be open to relocation, have good communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, and should be able to collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders
