Job Description

Purpose:

This position is responsible for Yield improvement, reducing TRT, reducing cost, reducing waste and recycling of solvents & improving solvent recovery. GMP compliance, Yield improvement, process risks arising from scale or process changes, user trial for intermediates, supervises the work assigned to personnel.

Locations: Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad/Secunderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore/Bengaluru

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging Process Intensification technologies including flow chemistry to reduce cost, reduce waste, improve yield
  • Assess and manage process risks arising from scale or process changes
  • Study the process and recycling of solvents & improvement in solvent recovery.
  • Responsible for utility calculation and optimized usage of utility systems.
  • Monitoring all aspects of the running products by analyzing process data.
  • Support Problem Solving when manufacturing issues arise.
  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques and tools, providing mentoring and training to production teams.
  • Improve Process safety by training plant personnel and working on safety improvement projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • MSc in Organic Chemistry/Chemical Engineer
  • Skills: Flow chemistry, Cost-reduction, Scale-up of Flow Processes
  • Experience: 0-3 years
