Team Member – Characterization | Cipla Ltd | Bangalore

Job Purpose

Manage and drive all physicochemical characterization activities; provide centralized characterization support to different divisions of IPD to ensure seamless development of API & finished products within the stipulated timelines and characteristic feature requirements

Accountabilities:

• Perform and compile pre-formulation studies for polymorphism, particle characterization, etc. and submit to the respective departments so as to enable the formulator to develop a robust finished product
• Elucidate and accurately assign structure of samples from R&D and Manufacturing QC to ensure structure qualification of working standards
• Resolve analytical queries related to characterization received from Manufacturing units and Regulatory Affairs by providing relevant characterization data to close the deficiencies received from the manufacturing units/authorities
• Evaluate patents for reported polymorphic forms by verifying the available in-house data to ensure compliance with the relevant literature and to avoid legal violations with respect to polymorphism
• Introduce new techniques to better understand the characteristic of samples to meet the requirements from R&D or current developments based on strategic and portfolio-level requirements

Education Qualification

M.Sc Chemistry

Relevant Work Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in physicochemical characterization with experience in at least 3-4 techniques
