Job Description:
- The Zonal Sales Manager Government Accounts Management will be responsible for driving sales growth within their designated geographic region by effectively managing government accounts.
- This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement processes, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- The successful candidate will lead a team of Account Managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and value to government clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the assigned zone.
- Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key government clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to drive growth initiatives and address client needs.
- Identify new business opportunities within the government sector and develop strategies to expand the company’s market share.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and government policies/regulations to inform sales strategies and business decisions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in sales activities and client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in government accounts or public sector sales.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with government clients.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans that align with organizational objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Willingness to travel within the designated zone as required.
